What a big thrill it is for me to be included in the premier issue of Artful Blogging Magazine! Not only am I fairly new to the art of online journaling but my blog isn't even finished....I want to get to that soon.....really.... just wait! I have lots of lovely ideas swirling around in my head. What really tickles me the most is seeing my photos in print! The magazine is on newstands now and also available from Stampington.com It's wonderful to be included with some really lovely artists blogs...
Speaking of lovely artists.... I have been invited to a party at Kari's to celebrate the premiere ! And in keeping with the festive atmosphere I'll share a little project I did last summer.
My friend Carolyn asked me to make the favors for her wedding.....it was so lovely and I was so happy to make a little contribution to her fairytale.
A simple paper cone on cardstock, folded paper stars and a bird stamped on a medallion
Do this over a hundred times
Then add a sachet of robins egg blue candy tied up with pink ribbon and hang from the back of each chair. Simply Lovely!
Thanks for the invitation Kari and thank you to the editor Staci!
Not too much of a surprise for me when I opened up my issue to see you there...your blog is SUCH a lovely spot to stop and soak up some beauty and inspiration. The tutorial is a prime example of your creative muse at work not to mention the gorgeousness you create in your dolly beauties :) Congrats~~

I don't suppose... you'd ever post a specific "how to" for those medallions???

I saw your art in Artful Blogging, too cool. What fun! I also really love dolls. Soul sisters I guess. Keep on with the inspiration.

Hi! My friend just brought me that magazine, so I've finally discovered your blog and I'm hooked! Those party favors are incredible. How do you fold those stars?! I tried to google "folded stars" but I keep finding a different type of star. I absolutely love your dolls. Really wonderful treasures. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm incredibly inspired! :)
